Birth
at Upleta (District Rajkot) in a pure farmer's family.
Unusually fond of reading books since childhood,
perused the books of famous authors of Gujarati
Literature, during High School education.

Began
his literary career in Upleta (District Rajkot),
his native-place, by starting a small circulating
library Gopal Book Service in a small centre.

Founded
"Gopal Printing Press", at Upleta.

Started
the work of a Book-seller at Upleta by establishing
"Pravin Pustak Bhandar."

1975

Came
to Rajkot for a further development of the Book-seller's
profession and began to supply books to Schools, Colleges
and Libraries.

Started
the career of printing books "by establishing
"Gopal Printers."

1980

Founded
"Kitab-Ghar", a show-room for distribution
and sale of books.

Began
the publisher's profession, by publishing books.

1987

A
voyage to foreign countries - England, America, Canada
for three months, visited a number of Publishing Houses,
Grand Show-rooms and Libraries, contected the Publishers
there and studied the methodology of the publication
of excellent books in the world and over-all, the
administration and functioning of all this; infact
it turned out to be a memorable study-tour for imbibing
the experience and experiments of novel type of publishing,
for getting fresh inspiration to under- stand and
to get a genuine instinct to learn.
